The Men of Fire Firefighter MC, Ch 6 NW Arizona is comprised of local firefighters who have been putting on a Veterans Poker Run for the past 14 years. The very first year they donated to wounded warriors. After that they decided to keep the money local. The president of the motor cycle club Ryan Granath a Bullhead City Firefighter for the last 23 years sat down with Mike Conner president of River Fund and they created a special account just for veterans, that is what this club has been contributing to all these years.
"Men of Fire Ch 6 NW Arizona would like to thank everyone who came out on April 30th for our annual Veterans Poker Run. This event was a huge success!!! We will be donating $17,200 plus Bullhead River Run raffle ride donation of $2,800.00. The final total of the donation is $20,000!!! Ryan Granath- President
We had over 200 plus participants. It was a 120 loop that started at Anderson Ford. Our stops consisted of the following: Our ride went to Hooch's 95 Keri Johnston , Red Dog in Needles Darcy Garrett, Pirates Cove Art Tate and Jessica Trainer , Topock 66 Chip Venezio, Cool Springs Dwayne Blake, Great American Pizza Robert Hall and Kat, River Dog's Karyn Phillips, and ended at CoVeu Paul and Gena. Anderson Ford had Loke Lau as our Dj during the morning and the afternoon. Matt MC Curtiss brought the "Senders Only" to do a great stunt show to start off our raffle. These guys were amazing!! Over the last 9 years we've raised $96,000.00 with the support from our sponsors, community and participants. We couldn't do it without your support!!! We have finally surpassed $115,000.00 to go towards local veterans in the Tri state area.
