Bike Safety Rodeo for Kids

Gear up for the 27th Annual Carrie Edgmon Bicycle Safety Rodeo! The event will be held on Saturday, March 18th in the north Wal-Mart parking lot (2840 Highway 95) from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.

The event is sponsored by the Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments, Wal-Mart and Western Arizona Regional Medical Center (WARMC).

A safety course will be set up for children to ride and put their safety skills and knowledge to the test! Children will learn the rules of the road from officers who will be on hand to help kids go through the safety course.

Participants will receive a free bicycle inspection and tune-up by CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Team) volunteers.











A special thanks to the Bullhead City Morning Kiwanis for donating all the bike parts. Children will receive a free helmet and can enter a prize drawing to win new a bike thanks to Riverfront Cottages RV Park owner Maurice and Laura Trudell. Air Control Home Services is also donating 10 bikes as a separate giveaway during the event from 10 am - 11 am. Winners will need to be present to win for this prize drawing.

The Bike Safety Rodeo is open to the public at no cost. Children bring their own bikes to the event; however, loaner bikes will be available. For more information contact the Bullhead City Police Department at (928) 763-9200 or the Bullhead City Fire Department at (928) 758-3971.
