Gear up for the 28th Annual Carrie Edgmon Bicycle Safety Rodeo

Bullhead City, March 2, 2022 - It's that time of the year again as Bullhead City prepares to host the highly anticipated 28th Annual Carrie Edgmon Bicycle Safety Rodeo.

This exciting event aims to promote bicycle safety awareness among children and families in the community. So mark your calendars and get ready for a fun-filled day of cycling education and entertainment!

The event, sponsored by the Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments, Wal-Mart, and Western Arizona Regional Medical Center (WARMC), will take place at the north Bullhead City Wal-Mart parking lot, located at 2840 Hwy 95.

The festivities will kick off at 9 a.m. and run until 12 noon, giving attendees ample time to participate in the various activities. One of the highlights of the Bicycle Safety Rodeo is the opportunity for children to put their safety skills and knowledge to the test by riding through several well-designed safety courses. With police officers on hand, participants will receive valuable guidance on the rules of the road, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge to stay safe while cycling.

To further enhance the experience for attendees, the event organizers have collaborated with CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) volunteers to provide free bicycle inspections and tune-ups. Thanks to the generous contribution from the Bullhead City Morning Kiwanis, all necessary bike parts have been donated.

In addition, loaner bikes will be available for those who do not have their own bicycles. As an extra incentive, participants will receive a free helmet and will have the opportunity to enter a prize drawing for a chance to win a brand-new bike!

It's important to note that the 28th Annual Carrie Edgmon Bicycle Safety Rodeo is open to the public at no cost. This inclusivity allows everyone, regardless of age or skill level, to join in on the festivities and learn valuable lessons about bike safety. So bring your family, bring your friends, and bring your own bicycles to make the most of this fantastic community event.

For more information, interested individuals can contact the Bullhead City Police Department at (928) 763-9200. The organizers are more than happy to answer any questions and provide additional details about the event.
